Hello Bowend, You will see an ad(link) for MSC in the top left margin of any page.

Well, what bowend is referring to is something that has lingered in the background and we thought we were thru, but surprised us on Thursday.

Ok, was that comment confusing enough? I can not and should not go into any kind of details regarding it all, but for now we are rolling up the shop and reorganizing in what direction to take MSC.

I know that there are a lot of you whom we are close to and you may be curious as to exactly on the who what where when and why, but for now I regret to say that we are ceasing operations of the range and looking at where to go forward from here.

Sorry to hear things are not going well, it is tough going for any new small business, especially difficult for small “mom and pop” gun store.

Oh My, I am dismayed, having been a small business owner (14yrs) in the past I fully understand the many challenges. You and "Dad" have my fullest support in what ever direction you decide to take MSC. Thanks for sharing.

Best Regards,
Steve

Making any business work in MI right now is tough. MSC was a great shop, I just don't think that the Midland area was large enough to support such a fine facility. Oh well, their loss...

Is the bottomline choice to close up or to relocate??

I truly hate to see this happen to a business much less one with great ties in the shooting world on top of it a "Family Owned" business.

I wish you all well..

Evan and Mark,

Truly sorry to hear that you are facing such fiscal adversities.

I have always enjoyed shooting at your range and patronizing your business and regret that things have become so dire. Even though I have to drive two and half hours to get there from NW Ohio and could only do so two or three times a year, I always felt that it was worth my time to do so, if only for the conversation and enjoyment of spending some time with you guys. Hope things turn around for you if it is not "too late" already and if it is, please keep us up to speed on how things are progressing with any new pursuits.

What a miserable development.....

Good luck.

CX

That must be very stressful. This is an If Only, but if I still lived in Michigan I would have spent a wad at your place by now. Best of luck.

A very nice facility called Shooters Paradise burned down here in Northern VA. Owners also own a security company and are focused on several large govt security contracts and aren't taking the time to rebuild the range.

We could use another range in the area.

I had it in mind to take some classes in 08. I guess you're out of the picture there, now?

Real shame. Of all the indoor ranges I've visited, Evan's was truly the finest public facility I've seen. Best wishes to you and your family.
