Still being on restricted activity, I've got time to surf. The Hornadayle site has a slew of 165-168 gr .30 Tap loads. I was curious to see if it was the same loads with "tactical black" brass.
165 gr GMX TAP heavy barrier-solid copper bullet; 165 gr Interbond barrier-soft point; 168 gr A-Max precision; 165 gr ELD version of the A-Max precision and a AR specific version.
When I looked at the published Hornaday test stuff a decade or so ago, the 155 gr load seemed to be the best bet.....however, at that time they hadn't done/released the glass/barrier test results. As far as that goes, you can't get them on the website now. |
Beware the politically obsessed. They are often bright and interesting, but they have something missing in their natures, there is a hole, an empty place and they use politics to fill it up. It leaves them somehow misshapen. Peggy Noonan
