as some one who spent 20yrs in the Detroit Police Dept, I'm fully aware of the mistakes and occassionally even crimes committed by people with badges. I never had any problem putting cops in jail or not looking the other way when misconduct occured.

That being said, if you want to accuse or bash cops, you had better find another site as you're not welcome here-EVER!

I'm proud of my police service and felt that it was not an occupation but a vocation. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (more commonly though incorrectly called the Mormon Church)I saw and see no conflict between loving God and directly confronting evil.

People who've never done the job or never had to make a decision involving the use of fatal force sit cheerfully in their recliner with a cup of hot chocolate and point a critical finger at men and women who have had millliseconds to make life and death choices. Choices that may deny them the opportunity to ever see their loved ones again. While you and I are snuggled in our warm beds, there are men and women patrolling our streets and going in harms way. The God I believe in has great affection for them.

Those who have not seen the face of terrorism live in mindless bliss. September 11th was a warm up and we will be attacked again. I spend time away from those I love trying in a very small way to make those who protect terrorist targets to be better at what they do and to increase their personal safety-God bless them.
