Sorry, I will not make it this year. Couldn´t get to the "nearest" US Consulate to get the Visa - "nearest" is about 1.400 km, and I would need a week off-work to get there and assemble all the paperwork needed.
I´m planning on getting a Visa on my summer vacations, so next year everything will be ok.
Have lots of fun, folks!

Yeah, have a great hoot. As it turns out I couldnt make it anyways because of health problems. Ive had to take 5 days off of work and might have to go on the medical roll.

I hope you all have a great shoot. And save some Brats for me for next year. I have enough seniority to get a Jul. vacation................ .45

It's fixin to get hot and sticky this week. Highs in the 90's with high humidity. Have been busy this week at the club getting things prepared. Got the holes dug today to add more backer boards for the pistol ranges and purchased new backer boards. Also gave the club a new AC unit. Will install it this week. So we should be fairly comfortable this year in the clubhouse. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Mojo,

The contrast from a Painfully cold Winter makes adjustment hard.

Anything above 70 degrees and I ain't comfy.

Perfect weather involves wearing a Flannel shirt, woolie long johns and no outer coat.

Then again the bugs hate the cold......

To be honest we have only three seasons.

Snow season, and skeeter season.

The precious days betwixt are known as "Deer Season".
(Just cold enough to wear outer clothing the skeeters can't bite through!)

P.S.
Reference "Escanaba in Da moonlight" at the local video store......

Other than Detroit, it's the same everywhere.

Was at the club the other night, with a few folks from the ranch. The post holes for the new backers were in. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Keebs, thanks to you and the rest of the board members.

E4E,

We have the same problem opposite extremes. Texas has three seasons hot, hotter, and OH MY GOSH THE AIR IS TOO HOT TO BREATHE!!! "Winter" came on a Tuesday last year. My heavy winter gear consists of a flannel shirt or a windbreaker. Shorts and Tee shirts are appropriate attire year round. Oh yes, mosquitoes are a year round problem not cold enough to kill 'em off. It's a shame we couldn't pipe some of our heat up to you guys and some of your cold down here to us.

Keep the DEET handy.

Jon,
Planted new railroad ties for backer posts today. We can now run 12 shooters on the small range but only 6-8 on the big one cause we ran out of railroad ties. Am squeezing my supplier to try and get some more before friday. Also, the AC unit has to wait a bit. Gotta run heavier electric line in the clubhouse, so unfortunatly, we won't have AC in the clubhouse for the shoot. Sorry guys.
Keeb

P.S. Temps are supposed to be 90 all weekend so bring loose fitting clothing.

Keeb,

Holler at Smith Lumber in Hartford.

Ties are CHEAP!

Under 10 bucks a pop IIRC.

Put 2 on the gate to the farm.

Ain't nothing to look at though!

Have Friday off. 12's till then, holler if I can swing anything needed.

We might need that Generator afterall.

Good thing your dads basement dosn't flood this time of year!

It is appreciated.

mojo,
Thanks for the offer for piping heat up here, but I can tell you partner we dont need it. It was 94 at the club today and heat indexes above 100. I think I lost 10 lbs today carrying railroad ties over to the ranges and setting them in the ground. Hope to see you at the shoot.

Keeb,

Sorry to hear about the tropical heat wave. High tempratures are harder on you guys just like sub freezing ones are on us.

I was planning on coming to this year's H & S but, a three week bout with gout this spring used up most of my vacation time, maybe next year.
