picked up a lightly used one. Trigger is excellent but my eyes are still not focusing due to the narcotic pain pill I was taking. Once my eyes clear up I'll take it to the range

Read good reports on them, but not handled one. Let us know how it shoots please.

Evan, You can try covering one eye with your hand. That's what I used to do if I had been drinking. It kinda, sorta, almost worked. Worth a try, maybe.

Now is the time to buy Canik's version of a Glock.
They have THEE best striker-fired trigger next to
Walther's PPQ. I predict their prices will climb
once more shooters catch-on to them.

Because of what you said I went to my LGS and picked up and tried a couple of them and had to fight myself not to walk out with one for myself. I told myself that they didn't have the model I wanted...currently.
I have to admit it has a better trigger than my VP9. Now to figure out what size I need.

Saw the pic you posted elsewhere, nice looking pistol. I've not shot one but I've heard lots of good about them. Best of luck in shooting and building up the knee.

I’ve fired about three of these and have been impressed. Definitely a best buy, in the class, along with the Walther Creed.

The trigger pull was almost too light on one of the samples I shot, but the other two were excellent. I hope the industry catches up to this gun with holsters, etc.

Assuming after you work your Canik out, that will be your primary weapon. What will be your secondary or back up weapon now? Why did you switch from your dual revolvers? Ive followed your numerous changes of weapons. Always wondered what was your reasoning. You have an extensive background. Just had to ask why all of these changes.

Once they cut my pension in half I can only trade for guns. Friend, John Farnam, carries one as a 2nd gun. Got a cheap holster for it but am waiting for my carry holster from Simply Rugged. Carry a Smith 442 as a second gun. I just feel we've turned a corner and having 19 rounds before a reload seems a step in the right direction!

I just looked at Canik’s website. They have a Severe Duty Upgrade that they announced in 2017. Since you mentioned your gun is used, it would seem to be a good idea to check Canik’s website to determine if your firearm is in need of the upgrade. You enter the serial number to see if the upgrade pertains to your pistol. The issue is described as damaged safety features causing unintentional discharges.
