I was on the phone with my granddaughter this morning and she told me she will be 21 in 8 months and wants her own handgun for her birthday and then to get her concealed handgun permit. We've been shooting together for the last few years until COVID and the ammo shortage put a stop to it. Looks like we'll be trying out a few to see what works for her. Proud grandad here.

Good for her and you! I love it.

Great job, well done. I taught all my daughters and granddaughters to shoot. Gave them all revolvers. Getting into pistols with them now. I did the same with grandsons. At least they will have the knowledge if they ever are forced into a situation of needing it.

Above all (10 of them) they will be life long 2nd amendment supporters, and not fearful of firearms.

It's exciting but sometimes it it takes awhile. My wife was in her 50's before talked about getting her ccw. She was never anti gun but was disinterested Unfortunately, she decided my S&W 640 with a Crimson Trace grip was exactly what she wanted for ccw. She's a better shot than me and I think it because she never read any of my articles!

She never seemed that interested either until she hit 18 or so and then asked me if I'd teach her how to shoot. She loved it and the first question she asked me after we left the range was when were we going again. I never have to worry about a range partner if she's not in class or working.
