Hi, the CMP will open a second round for those that did not participate previously. I received a 1911 made in 1918 and am very happy with it. I will post a link for approval, regards, Mike |

Mike, thanks for posting that. I just went to the CMP website and read about the 1911 program. I never purchased from the CMP, and having seen the prices of the various grade pistols, I probably won’t bother to throw my name in the hat. |

Hi, if ones wanted a US Military 1911, it's not a bad deal. I have not seen one available for less than $1700 on the open market. In the "olden days" you could get a 1911 or M1 Carbine for $25. Those days are gone. When the CMP had M1 Carbines about 10 years ago at under $400 many ignored them. They are now retailing over $1000.That being said it may be a good bet to get a Garand. It's less than 10 rounds, regards, Mike |

Rack Grade $850 Field Grade $950 Service Grade $1050 Auction Grade $ Deep Pockets Required lol
Appears as though there is a lottery using a random number generator to determine who gets the pistols. |
