About 15 years ago I traded a friend out of a Remington 600 in .350 Rem. Mag. I already had a Mauser in the caliber and he needed something I had (I forget what it was now - maybe a Colt New Service).

I had actually shot a deer with the gun when it was his, both the deer and I were impressed!

In the interim he had installed a lyman Reciver sight and taken off the 2-7 scope he had but left the base as it did not interfere with the iron sight.

So, I was poking around in my office and ran into a box with a Weaver Super Slam "Dangerous Game" scope. Now I'm not so sure I'd use it on dangerous game but I'm not likely to use a Remington action on dangerous game either ( a freind did that in Australia and not only did his gun break but the guide's brand new 700 broke on the 10th round) - fortunately both had spare rifles.

Anyway, this is a 1-5 30mm scope and I'll set about zeroing it when the weather warms up a bit.

Russ was kind enough to bring some .350 brass to the Hoot and Shoot - I sometimes have a long memory
