I'm trying to decide between gen 5 G 17 vs G34 for nightstand duty.
I plan to get MOS version ether way just in case for old eyes,
I do plan to put weapon light on it.
Other than OAL, iron sight radius, and maybe balance there isn't any noticeable difference is there?
I'd have same trigger weight regardless of model so it matches my G26's and my G29.

I am personally happy with my Glock 17's. Gen 2 & Gen 4 my own and a Gen 5 issued to me. Out of the three, I think I like my Gen 4 best.
Just personal preference. I think the Model 19 is the best all around for concealment, capacity, etc. |

the G17 for the money, unless you get a good deal on the G34, and you won't need to mess with the connector to match the G26 trigger pull.
I'd also take a look at the G45 MOS. |

YMMV and all caveats said, I rented a G34 to see if I could improve my shooting over my G17 and G19 and G26 (all Gen 3). The ones I own have the 50 cent fluff'n'buff and Lone Wolf combo connector and trigger spring, which gives a much improved feel IMO. Bottom line, I have not been able to improve enough on the G19 for both accuracy in fairly rapid shooting. When it's in the nightstand I just put a G17 mag in it with an X-Grip and call it a day (night). I did not buy the G34 and the G17 sits in the safe.
Seems like a G19 MOS would do the job if a red dot is needed.
