Hi, the Carbine club Forum has a partial list of Congressional Medal of Honor recipients that used the M1 Carbine and it was mention in the commendation. I'm not a big fan of Harry Truman but when he awarded the CMH he said, I'd rather get this medal than be President of the United States, regards, Mike

Thanks for that. I'm also heartened that you used the term "recipients"
instead of the more commonly-used term "won".

I'm likely not the only vet that feels the term "won" makes it sound like some kind of game where prizes are awarded. In my day, any member of the units I was with who let it be known that he wanted to "win" medals was deemed to be a dangerous liability to the unit, and was encouraged (one way or the other) to find a new home.
