Hi, I guess S&W has a rebate in progress. Brownells is advertising a new M&P Bodyguard 380 for $199.99 after rebate this is $50 cheaper than Bud's including the rebate. Not my "cup of tea" but I thought someone may be interested, , regards, Mike

I handled one awhile back. Decent gun, no complaints other than .380.

When I saw "Bodyguard" I thought of the Model 49 General Loan Commemorative.

I got one bran new a few months ago for $270. Unreliable. Sent it to Smith and Wesson. Very fast service. Still unreliable. I got red of it. Good riddance.

If my only choice was a loaded .25 or an unloaded .45, I would choose the empty .45. They both have the same stopping power, but the empty 1911 looks a lot more convincing and makes a better club.

I approach concealed carry by just dressing around the gun. Currently carry two Glock .40's, a stainless .357 snub and a Kel Tec foldable carbine that takes Glock .40 Mags and rides in a lap top bag designed for portable computers with 17" screens.

Paranoid? Overreacting? Perhaps, but they're my guns and I'll carry as I please.

I have seen 3 of these here. They were issued to DEU Units here for back up. 1 of them ran perfectly for the 200 rounds I saw. The other 2....not so good. The unit finally took them all back in.
