On our weekly gun scouting trip we blundered into a little shop that is going out of business and had a sale on.

There were no handguns in the shop but they had lots of ammo on sale.

I found a bunch of the HSM .41 Magnum "Bear load" - a 230 gr Keith bullet supposed to be hot bit I've never shot any.

The stuff retails for like $50 a box (of 50) and was 50% off. When I asked about the % the owner said, I'll give you a better deal if you buy all my .41 magnum. He had 4 boxes of Winchester 210 gr JHP as well.

So I took it all and got it for $16 a box! He threw in 4 boxes (all he had) of 7.62 Nagant revolver ammo - I don't have much use for it but I do have a Nagant revolver - it is actually incredibly accurate but then that doesn't matter because it has an equally incredibly bad trigger.

I'm going back tomorrow or Friday to see if there are more deals - he is out of the really common calibers but has some .260 rem. and .338 Win-mag I can use.

Nice thing about the Nagant revolver as a TEOTWAWKI pistol is that it can shoot several .32 cal rounds of the sort that will be left after all the 9mm, .45, .40, .357, etc are gone.

Better to perish in the struggle for freedom than live to see defeat.

I guess I never knew I had such a jewel.

OTOH, I do have a Colt Cobra and a S&W Model 30 that will shoot .32s.

If you need to do a quick trigger job on another gun just shoot several cylinders through the nagant and switch back, sudden drastic improvement!
