Took Chris's C advice and sent the Takedown back to Ruger. It would not eject the spent casing and would jam.

Just got a call from Ruger, after several weeks(5). Told me my Ruger 10-22 takedown could not be repaired so the replaced it with a new one. Got to go and pick it up at LGS soon. Been on a 2 week trip. Will probably go Monday.

Hi Pop Pop. I'm glad to hear that Ruger is taking care of you but I'm also sad that they let your particular gun past QC. Let us know how the replacement does at the range and good luck!

There are now 3rd party folding stocks for the take down which make it really easy to pack. I tell folks if you can only afford one budget long gun get a 10/22 and a pile of hi cap mags and some CI Stingers.
