I found some old boxes of these recently. I don't have a chrono, Has anyone ever tested these for velocity. I have read of velocity of as high as 1400'. Is this accurate? Thanks. Dennis.

I have a box given to me by someone at the Treasury department.

I think we ran a couple over the chrono back then but it has been awhile.

I think 1400 might be in the ball park though.

The ones I have were made by Remington - green and pale blue box.

I got a few boxes of LE ONLY R9MM4S +p+

I think it hit 1300fps + out of a M&P 9mm, short of 1400fps

It's hotter than a depot stove, I guess.....

the Federal +p+ load seems to do all that with less blast, my perception.

I think the rub on it was performance through barriers, why they switched to .357 sig, or something like that

Maybe a little off topic but it is good to remember what Evan always tells us - companies look first to pressure. If it gets the right velocity that is a plus but it must not exceed the pressure (there is no SAAMI spec for 9mm +P+ but I imagine the companies who load it have a top limit).

When I bought one our first lots of Winchester +P+ 127 gr Ranger I clocked it out of my Browning and it got over 1300 fps.

The last lot that I checked (a few years ago now) clocked 1240 out of the same gun.

I imagine it will do just about as well in effect.

I had the same experience with the Remington as you'd GW. Federal seems a touch milder.
