My niece was visiting for Christmas and asked me to teach her how to shoot a handgun as she has finally decided that her safety is her personal responsibility (seems she was listening to me all these years). We just got back and she did great. She started on a High Standard 22 and ended up with Kahr CW9 that she really did well with. She is going to look around her area for a range and some instruction.
All the ladies, in my family, has a very hard time working the slide on all(except the 22's) my reasonably powered pistols(380 up). Because of that I have gone with revolvers for all of them, and given the all one, although I know their limitations on ammo on board.
Good for you niece. She must have better hand and wrist strength.
