The folks at a Mormon Bishops Store house where anyone Mormon or not can by bulk food, was recently approached by Federal Agents demanding a list of their customers.

Remember they cannot enter your home without a warrant and you don't have to talk to them either.

In the future I suggest if you make any bulk food purchases you pay cash and leave no paper trail.

I think the time is past trying to convert people and frankly think we'll see great unrest this summer. Pray for peace and prepare for war.

Since i just keep a 30 day supply on hand for say a earthquake or tornado and I know help would be slow if much area was affected I hope they do not think I am a concern.

Be honest, fair, and always prepared...

FEMA in Tennessee. Nashville, TN, they are doing surveys asking how prepared people are. I suggest we respond, "Gee, I know FEMA will be there in our time of need."

As I said, the time to try to convert somebody is over-we have 3 older single woman living on our Court and, of course, we would shelter them in time of disaster or collapse.

Remember they cannot enter your home without a warrant. When I was a cop in Detroit I told my wife never let cops into our house UNLESS they have a search warrant AND to read it.

Sorry Evan, was it FEMA that went demanding the list, or were you making two separate statements in the two posts?

Scary as all get out either way!!!

Thanks,
Andy

Demanding information from somebody as opposed to asking politely with an valid explanation for the requested information are two different approaches. Demanding information can imply somekind of wrong doing or maybe just plain arrogance and very rude behavior.

Wondering how the Feds would respond to a polite refusal to a polite request? None of their business how much of what someone has.

Another site I hang out on, this came up. Bunch of them are saying it's a bogus report, that Oath Keepers got hoaxed on the report. Ace

That would be kind of ironic here since the state puts out commercials about being prepared for disasters. I'm thankful to live in a state where federal overreach is frowned upon. I don't have any illusions, though.

I would warn against telling them it's none of their business. It's better to anwder their question with one your own, "Gee, you mean FEMA won't be here to help us in an emergency?"

People approach me at Church and ask me if I carry A gun everywhere I go? I look at them and respond, "You think I need gun here at Church?"

Again I have the links from Oath keepers and a organic food site that are carrying this story. They are in the web link section.

On another site I saw a TV news story on how the State of Tenn was going to "randomly" check houses to see how prepared those people are for a disaster. I put that link in the same thread with the other 2 links.

The RANDOMLY is what raised my eye brows.

All I can say is no warrant no access.

Just checked oathkeepers site and they have pulled their story about the LDS store house being visited by Feds. Evidently the source is now denying it happened. Retfed

well. I've been wrong before but maybe the was story floated to see how much of a reaction theyd get. I had a 3rd source and she's always been spot on. We'll see.

Not saying it didn't happen, just that they are pulling the story. As to why the purported eyewitness is denying it, who knows? Having been around the suits in the Feds I think I will just wait and see what transpires. Pressure has been known to be applied. Retfed

You could go, "I don't carry 'A' gun!" If they would have guessed three would have been the right number.

I have used that line but generally add, "... I carry two!"

Per the LDS Presiding Bishopric's Office, this a.m. this never occurred, never happened and no visit from any agency, state or federal occurred. Much ado about nothing. Sounded bogus from the start anyway.

Me too! I wouldn't have been surprised at all, had this been true. Guess that shows MY level of cynical pessimism. That ain't all bad is it?
