I retired Friday after 21 years 8 months from a small agency next to Ft Worth, Texas. I had mixed feelings but I'm glad its over.

I was a LEO in the mid 70's for a suburb of Seattle. I have since moved to the opposite side of the state and have ridden with a couple of local departments several times. It is a whole different ballgame now-a-days. My hat is off to those who serve today...I'm not so sure that I would want to anymore. I'm glad that you got your time in and made it safely to retirement.

Congrats on your retirement serialsolver, and enjoy the rest and relaxation. I think everybody has some degree of mixed emotions when they retire from law enforcement after a lot of years of service. It was a unique career that is unlike any other and was a large chunk of your life and lifestyle. There is good life after retirement!

Congrats. Retirement is the best job you will ever have. They pay us to stay at home and have a good time and live life. Steve,.. glad to see you old friend. I was a tad worried about you as I hadn't seen you.

Congratulations serialsolver, welcome to the club. I'll give you the same advise I gave Nanuk. Take some "you" time and decompress.

I have some in-laws in Flower Mound. It's pretty country.
