Do any of you 1911 guys know where I can get a fixed replacement sight for a Bo-Mar cut? I would like to replace the adjustable sight on my STI Spartan with a fixed one but can't find what I want when I do a google search. The only thing I found is at Brownell's it is a two piece affair that looks like trouble to me. The gun has an LPA brand sight on it now if that makes any difference.

Thanks,

MoJo

I would be greatly surprised if Heinie did not make one, though I have not used it myself.

I have seen a replacment for the Kimber Eclipse which is almost a Bomar but that sight is slightly different I think.

Be sure you know which Bomar. BMCS is the most common but there are others.

This might work for you: ALL LINKS MUST BE APPROVED-EVAN

Sorry, I guess this was the design you were talking about in your post.

Jim, I e-mailed Heinie got a reply within a couple of hours - - - they don't make a sight like I'm looking for.

Gary1911A1, Yes, that is the one I mentioned. I did a search for "LPA" and found this one:

I'll be sending Brownell's an order for one.

Harrison makes one.

I have since replaced my Bomars after an elevation screw on my match pistol sheared off during the NC Sectionals.

Brownells' carries them. # 100-003-572DE

I've got one of the ones that Brownells carries, made by Harrison Design & Consulting, on my Colt Special Combat Government. It is a two piece design, but incredibly solid.

My Spartan has an LPA clone of the BoMar on it. Harrison makes a fixed replacement for the LPA cut. I'm going to get one on order. Thanks for the suggestions.

XS Sights has a fixed rear for a Bomar cut, but it also uses the XS front. Some people like Big Dots and others do not.
