From a friend, a retired cop and Member of the Blue Knights MC. "There are enough laws to disarm outlaws, You only need new laws to disarm citizens and make them subjects. The Police can call the EMS to pronounce you & family dead or you can call the Police to pronounce the perp dead. "

"I've been shot, cut, burned, blown up, fired, busted, promoted, reprimanded, and decorated. What are you going to do? Send me to Iraq?"

(Overheard in response to the question "Did you fire a warning shot?") "No. After I killed the first one, I thought the rest would realize I was serious."

People who say they want a government program because "I don't want to be a burden to my children" apparently think it is all right to be a burden to other people's children.

Make Preperations in advance, then if you have trouble, you are prepared for it... Teddy Roosevelt.

And from Hollywood:

Only two things scare me, Women and the Police...

All I wanted was a Mission, and for my sins, they gave Me one, they brought it to me like room service, and when it was over, I would never want another...

I do not know where we are going, but one look at you, and I know its going to be hot...

Gentlemen, this is the WAR ROOM you cannot fight in here...

The DEAD know only one thing, it is better to be ALIVE.

I don't have any ccccc.. cutlery.

Why did you kill everybody in the house?
Because they was home...

I'm ready to put the lie to this in the next election....

"Fill your hand...."

"And so you be done to the death, what then?
If you battled the best you could.
If you fought your fight in the World of Men,
then The Critic will call it Good.

Death comes with a crawl, or comes with a pounce,
but whether he's slow or spry,
it's not the fact that you're dead that counts
but only,
'How did you die?'"

In response to an inquiry as to whether a police lieutenant's wife had heard an interesting "there I was at...." story from the officer's distant past.

"The statute of limitations has run out, and the Lord has forgiven me; I can't think of any reason my wife should hear that story."

“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed;
if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may
come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

Winston Churchill

Back in the day, my Dept. would FIRE anyone for lying. That included Lying about ANYTHING.

One that you might use at Internal Affairs...

Sir, I DID NOT Lie.
I willfully participated in a campaign of misinformation.
BUT I DID NOT lie...

Most problems in life can be solved by:

A bag of gold,
Suicide, or,
throwing one's enemy over a precipice on a dark night.

"We sit by and watch the Barbarian, we tolerate him; in the long stretches of peace we are not afraid. We are tickled by his irreverence, his comic inversion of our old certitudes and our fixed creeds refreshes us; we laugh. But as we laugh we are watched by large and awful faces from beyond: and on these faces there is no smile." Hilaire Belloc
