While shooting at practice night at a local club I noticed one guy shooting Winchester steel in 9mm. He liked it.
Anyone else use steel in a Glock? The price is right at Walmart.

There is something about leaving brass cases on the ground that goes against me. I remember years back scrounging brass anyway I could, now shooting on outdoor ranges the brass just lays. Near brings tears to my eyes.

I've used steel case in glocks for years

as for ranges, make it easier to police with a magnet on a stick....

I've never used them. The three local ranges near to or in the city by me all prohibit steel-cased ammo. This is their way to prevent the use of steel core bullets on their back stops. Two of the three also prohibit cast bullets because of lead/environment concerns. The third allows cast bullets in .45 Long Colt only. Tried arguing that .44 Spec was a lighter slower bullet which would be less of a lead concern than .45 LC, but... . Steel cases will get you ejected from the range. Their range, their rules. Hopefully this will change as they become more prevalent and made by named manufacturers. Right now I think that they associate them with military surplus.
