Wondering if the Nosler partition is still considered a good choice for when your wanting more penetration, like vs cars or hunting?

Iíve only run Fed XM 193 & factory remanufactered through my AR so far.

Looking to try a few different loads when weather is nicer, though it has slow twist 1-9 barrel on it.

visually I can't tell the difference

Thanks.

I believe the Trophy Bonded is supposed to be good in addition to the DPX type loads.

Is the Federal Fusion a Speer Gold Dot softpoint under different name?

I don't see why not.

I've found the DPX or Barnes Vor-TX penetrates well also.

I have not tested it but Federal Fusion is supposed to be a bonded core bullet - I'd like to try the heavier one on cars but so far have not.

I've taken a number of deer with it in my 22-250. Got complete penetration on all the broadside shots. One that didn't was quartering toward me. Destroyed the shoulder and lodged between the ribs in the far side. It is a tough little bullet!
