Just picked up a new Ruger 1911 Commander in 9mm. I have to say it has a great trigger and fine finish. Going to put some different grips on, as I like wood. I have a shooting friend who also got one and took it to the range and reported, great trigger, accurate as all heck. Gobbled various brands of ammo with no problems.Shot better then his Sig 320. Can't wait to get out and test it. Bill

My first handgun was a Ruger Service-Six .38 revolver in 1975 when I was a sheriff's deputy. I received it as a Christmas present because I was too young to purchase it at the time (but the sheriff authorized me to carry it so I was good). I've got more Rugers than anything. One is never far away . . .

Tom, welcome to here. Anybody who likes Rugers has to be pretty much OK. Ace

I've had the lightweight commander .45 for a couple of years. I love it. I put Pachmayer presentation grips on it and a different recoil spring. It shoots spot-on. I like Ruger.

While my CMDR was initially frought with issues and went back twice with a new weapon provided, the new one is OUTSTANDING. Great weapons and Rugers Customer Service is tough to beat.
